As human beings we are created for connection. It is often in seeking connection that we have been hurt. Although beautiful, life can bring chaos and moments of pain sometimes creating physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wounds.
Therapy can be a space to tend to those wounds, making meaning and finding strength in our adversity.
I aim to support my clients by exploring their experiences integrating relational healing, spirituality, and grief work with the goal of overcoming hardships making space for more joy, wellness, and love in their lives.
I am committed to providing culturally responsive, relevant and LGBTQ inclusive and affirming services. As the daughter of a Mexican Immigrant father and Tejana mother, I recognize that cultural identity and generational history are a source of strength and resilience. I invite these resources into therapeutic practice.
I consider therapy a healing art and a labor of the heart for both the client and therapist.I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned a Masters of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin, Steve Hicks School of Social Work. I hold a Masters In Divinity, a religious and theological studies degree from Harvard Divinity School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I have experience supporting clients with depression and anxiety, trauma, grief, and life transitions. I integrate a variety of interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused interventions, and creative and expressive art techniques.
