Rene is passionate about counseling because he has seen firsthand the changes and healing that therapy can bring to the lives of individuals, couples, and families. Everyone can benefit from better self-understanding and redefining their purpose in life. Rene’s goal is that his clients would leave each time with a sense of hope.
Rene Tenorio works with males, females, and families coming from the different stages of life. He has a special interest in multicultural counseling, helping clients adjust to life transitions, and working with clients experiencing difficulties with relational and trust recovery. He is Bilingual (Spanish- English) and Bicultural. He also teaches individuals cognitive and behavioral techniques and mindfulness skills designed to rapidly alleviate unwanted symptoms that cause discomfort.
Rene graduated with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University in Denver, Colorado. He provides individual psychotherapy, relationship counseling, group therapy, addictions counseling and parenting support.
Warm and inviting, Rene creates a safe, nurturing, non-judgmental atmosphere as he guides his clients’ natural ability to make changes in their lives with his strengths-based perspective. He uses an integrated treatment approach that takes into account the mind, body and relationships, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness.
